Dental Prothetics
Mobile prosthesis:
When somebody has a few missing teeth, the easiest way to to fix the problem is by making dental prosthesis, which can be partial or total.
Partial denture is a denture for patients with missing teeth who desire to have replacement teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons and who cannot have a bridge(a fixed partial denture) because of the lack of required teeth to serve as support for a bridge. If you suffer from a complete loss of teeth, then total prosthesis is going to make you functional again and put a smile on your face. Implant prosthesis,as the name suggests, are implanted onto teeth implants, which are lodged into the jaw. The biggest advantage of mobile prosthesis is that you can easily remove it and clean it,while still being trustworthy to serve its purpose while we eat or talk.
Fixed prosthesis:
Crowns, replace the damaged tooth tissue and with their shape, size and color they completely adjust themselves to other teeth. Crowns are made individually by taking the print of the teeth that’s being made. They can be metal, porcelain, ceramic or zirconium ceramic. They can last 8-10 years but with proper care they can last even longer than that.
Bridge is a dental prosthesis consisting of at least two crowns, acting as a stabilizer, prevents other teeth to move to the empty space and prevents the loss of vertical dimension. Unlike the mobile prosthesis, bridges cannot be removed as they are cemented. For the dental bridge to be built,it is necessary to have some healthy teeth or dental implants to which he can be latched onto.
Missing teeth aren’t an inconvenient problem that hinders your normal functioning. Dental prosthesis allow you to move on with a positive attitude and a shinning smile, giving you new teeth, just as good as the natural ones.
